Workspace Panel opening automatically should be optional

Having the left hand navigation browser open EVERY single time I try to do something is NOT a good feature for me. Not sure who suggested this, but obviously not a regular user as I spend more time closing the browser than I do actually using it. The roll back to remove this feature cannot come fast enough.

Working at a major research university in a department where we utilize SS extensively, we already have heard complaints about this "feature". Please make this an 'opt-in' situation or allow us to toggle it as 'on/off' so we can avoid encountering this all day, every day.

Please fix this, it just started happening within the last couple of weeks. It is super annoying to have this panel automatically open and then having to close it when I'm trying to share my SS screens with customers. I am not in the EAP and don't know why I am seeing this.

Echoing everyone here- this is extremely annoying and a time waster, it takes up screen space, and needs to be optional or removed. I saw a reply that this is being rolled back and there is no timeline. I wanted to make sure I add that this is happening to members of my team that are not part of EAP- another reply mentioned this was only rolled out for EAP but I've found that to be incorrect.

I saw the update that it would be rolled back for EAP members - but I have team members not in the EAP who experience this issue. Will it be rolled back for them too?

Agreed 100% — Extremely annoying when I'm opening hundreds of sheets per day. If I wanted the panel to display, I would go to folder icon. I hope this gets disabled by default automatically.

I have confirmed with EAP that no one with our domain has enrolled in the program, but it's still happening for us. So this is not an EAP-only issue. This needs to be corrected across the board - not just for EAP users.

Adding my voice to say that this update was not an improvement, please let us disable the workspace panel from automatically popping up each time I open an asset.
