Timeline View needs options for background color and task label placement/color. Lack of these features can cause unwanted text overlap with the task bars and illegible labels.
In the image you can see what happens to labels when bold colors are used. The text reverses to white and the overflow is illegible - you can see the overflow on the grey bar. There is no option to either change the text color or move it off the bar. Ability to change the background color would also give options so you don't end up with white text on a white background.
Allowing control of these elements would make the Timeline View more usable.
Dashboard widgets are currently mostly static. I can display counts and charts, but I cannot click into a specific part of a widget to drill into the underlying records.
