Absolutely love the AI companion. However, after a formula is generated, I lose access to the prompt that was used to write the formula.
If at a later date, I want to come back and alter my prompt, have to completely re-write it, risking error due to human memory lapse, especially if the prompt is long and the resulting formula is complex.
It would be valuable to have a memory cache of the prompt that was used to generate the formula so you can alter that, instead of trying to remember the prompt you wrote. Especially since the order and verbiage used to generate the formula is critical to its efficacy.
Another thought in the same vein, would be to reference a column to recall the prompt. For example, you could type this into the prompt editor:
"I want to alter the formula in EST. DELIVERY DATE to only show EST. DELIVERY DATE IF the cell in CONFIRMED DELIVERY DATE is blank"
This would recall the prompt used to generate the formula in EST. DELIVERY DATE and alter it to meet the new condition introduced by looking to CONFIRMED DELIVERY DATE for a ISDATE or BLANK cell.
Solutions are ever changing, so formulas need to flex to those changes, nimbly without the added labor of documenting the prompt externally or in the comments section, or re-writing them all together.
