Please add the ability to use more sort levels when sorting sheets and reports. It's pretty easy to run up against the limit of only being able to sort by 3 columns. In my personal experience there are cases I've hit where we would need to use 5 columns to have a sheet or report sorted in the most logical order. I'm sure many organizations would benefit from any increase in the number of sort levels available.

I find almost always on a task list that being limited to only 3 layers of sorting capability makes it challenging to properly rank task sheets. I find myself having to create complicated formulas to assign a numerical value in order to properly sort.
My suggestion is adding the capability of sorting to 6 levels.
I have also wanted this change for a long time and have requested it. So far i have just got an email directing me to this post. Many of my reports would sort much better if there was 5 or even more sorts. Hope to see some action from Smartsheet on this soon….

I know this request doesn't have that many votes, but that's probably because no know this thread exists. Would be good if Smartsheet could take some action on this. Only having 3 sorts really limits the functionality of reports. A lot of work prioritizing schedules etc would be eliminated by simply adding more ( at least 5 ) sort layers. We use Smartsheet for our production scheduling and this would help a lot to automate the prioritization of jobs. Please consider this request seriously.

This simple change was requested by several people over the last few years. Unfortunately so far there has been no action or response from Smartsheet. Please consider this request seriously. There are many Smartsheet users who would benefit a lot from this change.

In Smartsheet reports, you can sort your data using up to three sorting rules. Unfortunately, the system doesn't allow more than three sorting rules in the report builder. I need to have at least one more. This would be helpful so I can sort it out without changing the actual data.

This is my monthly follow-up on this very simple yet important suggestion. I know this suggestion only has 16 votes but that likely represents 16 different companies so this change could potentially positively impact hundreds of users. Not to mention that having more sorts on reports would save hours of manual prioritization of tasks for thousands of Smartsheet users. Look forward to some action on this soon!!
