Default Sort setting

Hi,
How can I set a default for sorting in a sheet? For example, I have a system "Modified Date" column, and I want the sheet to ALWAYS sort by descending order, i.e. the most recently modified on top. I want the sort setting to stay even when refreshed, and when I'm editing in the sheet that the modified row will automatically be put on top.

Unfortunately Smartsheet does not do that natively, however @SSFeatures has a plug in that you can get that will do that for you!

This really should be an included feature in Smartsheet that doesn't require us to spend extra money to have.

Hi @Michelle Choate 2 and @Jayy S. thanks for tagging me!
I agree that this feature is super important and should be added directly into the SmartSheet app. In the meantime you can up vote this feature request to help show the SmartSheet team that this feature is critical to your use case.
The latest update in that feature request says that the new "Table View" will have automatic sorting, and it's currently being beta tested by the Early Adopters Program.
Best!

I just wanted to follow up and add a screenshot of what this looks like if you use SSFeatures.
You'll click this "Sort Automatically" button and then your data will sort whenever it changes.
Thanks!
