Business plan. Limitations on the number of dashboard widgets. No access to Team workload tracking

Good afternoon. I am a license holder by invitation to the work team of our company under the Business tariff. Why the license holder has a restriction on the number of widgets on the motherboard, if the business plan does not have these restrictions, and the restrictive message says “upgrade to Business or Corporate”?. But I am already in the Business tariff with a dedicated license, of which I bought 3 for our small company.

You should definitely be able to add as many widgets as you need on the Business plan, per the pricing sheet. The only limitation is on the "Pro" plan, which is 10 widgets per dashboard. If you are on the Business and limited to 10, that'd be a call to a Smartsheet rep to see what's happening.

  • Jason Tarpinian, thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, the technical support has not responded yet. I wrote to Smartsheet technical support the same day I posted on this site. During this time I found at least 5-6 more limitations in functionality that can not be on the Business Plan, which makes me very upset and the whole team is also losing efficiency from not getting the necessary functionality within the paid tariff. I don't know how to influence the speed of response from technical support.

  • Hi @AlekseySerdyuk

It sounds like your account may be associated with multiple plans, and that your default plan is defaulting to the Pro Plan, which has a limit of Widgets.

You can check what your default plan is by clicking on your account icon in the bottom-right of your account, then selecting Personal Settings and then going to Plan Info.

This Help Article has more information: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2483263-change-default-plan

Let me know if this helped!

    Cheers,
    Genevieve

Good day, Genevieve P., thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help, I found this setting, switched to the correct tariff and the restrictions are removed. The only thing that doesn't work yet is Resource Management. When you click on the button on the left side of the panel, a window with the service description pops up, and at the top it says “Ask the resource allocation administrator to activate Smartsheet authentication” and it's not clear what to do with it. On the site in the help it is not clear and even step-by-step there is no correspondence of instructions to the existing buttons in the settings.

  • Hi @AlekseySerdyuk

I'm glad to hear this worked for you! 🙂

In regards to Resource Management, the left side panel quick-link will take you to the Resource Management application which is a separate add-on to Smartsheet. If your account has purchased this, you may need your System Admin for the Business Plan to activate the login option through Smartsheet (here are the steps).

If you have not purchased Resource Management as an add-on, you can use Workload Tracking but this is directly within a sheet on the right side panel. Here's more information.

    I hope that helps!
    Genevieve
