When I go to Print a Report, the print box asks me a few things including if there is a note I want to add to the header of the report.
I have used this feature to add Contact and Address Information to the PDF that is created.
Rather than downloading a "print" of the report and manually emailing them, I would MUCH RATHER be able to tell an automation to print a report, add a note to the header, print it horizontal to fit one page wide and send it to an email address included in the worksheet with the Automation. I don't need to build a report with "fillable PDFs", I have the report already built. I simply need to be able to "Print and Send a PDF" of that report through automations.
At a small company where I only needed to send 5-10 reports per week, printing a report and downloading the resulting PDF and then emailing it was not a huge task. But we are growing and I see the need to send hundreds of reports in the very near future.
The reports already exist. Smartsheet "prints" them as a PDF, why can't I simply "Print" an existing report and email it as a PDF from within an Automation?
It seems this would be an EASY feature to add…
