Restricting a column to a number value

I know that I can restrict a column value to a number through the form, but if there is a direct entry into a column, our current option is Text/Number. It would be nice if they would separate that into a choice of Text or a choice of a Number. I constantly have an issue with people putting in N/A which causes issues with PBI when it is a number value that is being summed.

Why not use the ISNUMBER in a formula to check if the value is a number when doing the sum?

Hi Marc. Thank you for your response, I can suggest that to my boss. He is doing the sum in PBI. Whenever there is a N/A in a column that he is trying to sum it literally breaks PBI, and it won't refresh. I am not that familiar with PBI and how the formulas work.
