Attachment Alert

Is there a way to send an alert or a notification when attachments are added to sheets?

    Yes there is. 

    1. Go to the Alerts & Actions tab

    2. Set up a new rule to Send a Notification

    3. Use option to "when there is a change in a specific column"

    4. Next

    5. When the following change occurs > select the Attachment column

    6. Select which changes to be notified on - Added, Updated, or Deleted

    7. Send a notification to - enter the recipients email address. 

    8. Save

    You can also specify your Delivery Settings if you would like.

  • Yes, here's how you do it:

    1. Click the Alerts & Actions tab at the bottom of the screen
    2. The top of the popup should read "Set up a rule that will 'Send a notification' 'when there are changes in specific columns'".  Click "Next".
    3. In the "Select criteria" dropdown, click "Comments"
    4. If you only want notifications when comments are added, uncheck "updated"
    5. Set up the row conditions, recipients, and delivery settings as desired, and click "Save"

    You should now receive a notification (in the app, and by email depending on your notification settings) any time comments are added.
