Enable Form text entry when Dropdown List is not restricted

I have had the same issue when selecting clients and want to add new ones on the list.
To be able to go around this issue, I added a check box and new client column (free text), I ask in the form whether it is a new client; if the box is ticked, this populates the free text field by logic rules in the form.
With conditional formula I select customer which is not blank. Then, I add the new customers into the drop list column.
Regards.

That is an excellent workaround. Thanks for sharing!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

We have released an enhancement so that unrestricted dropdown and contact fields now accept free-text from your users. For those interested we also now support symbol images in forms :)
