How do I hyperlink a cell in the same Smartsheet?

Try using the = sign to link one cell to data from another. Double click it and the donor cell is highlighted. Same across one sheet to another.

    Hope that helps?

Hi Richard, I have done that but it does not really do what I want it to do. As per the Hyperlink function to another sheet I want to jump to the cell hyperlinked in the same sheet. The problem with the = is if I link to a cell in say row 1000 from a cell in row 5, I cannot see it?? Thanks for your feedback though ;-)

Try using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + G to jump to a row! If you use the =[Cell Ref] function, it will tell you the row number, then use CTRL + G.

CTRL G is a cool trick to jump in general, but I agree with Hannes this is a sorely needed feature that's missing.

We have large Excel spreadsheets with all sorts of hyperlinks to places within the spreadsheet; Top, Bottom, Home, and specific cell names as well.  Would be a great feature for SmartSheet.

+1 vote here too.  But also for hyperlinks to cells in other sheets.

I have some macro lists on one sheet that need to have micro lists defined for tracking on another sheet (because of some external scripts).  Would love to be able to click on the macro to get to the micro, and vice versa.

Tried your solution and it worked! It be great if this was a feature part of Smartsheet rather then having to do the tedious work of applying this formula across multiple columns.

    Hi,

I have a workaround that might help.

    1. Create a Table of content section in the sheet (at the top)
    2. Create a new column (Count)
    3. Use the following formula in the Count column.

=1 + 0 (Copy down the whole sheet)
    4. Create a new column (RowID)
    5. Use the following formula in the RowID column, cell 1.  =COUNT(Count$1:Count@row) (Copy down the whole sheet)
    6. Create a new column (Row)
    7. Use the following formula in the Row column.

      ="CTRL/CMD+G " + RowID@row
    8. Link the different sections of the sheet to the ToC in the at the top with the following formula. =Row16 (for row 16)
    9. Try it by pressing the CTRL/CMD + G combination and type the number from the ToC section that you want to jump to.
    10. You can also combine the Row and Task Name column and hide the Count, RowID and Row columns.

Please see the attached link/screenshot for more information.

Depending on your country you’ll need to exchange the semi-colon to a comma in the above formulas.

    I hope this helps you!

Please add function to click a cell with a link in row X that zips the clicker to row Y.

Necessary for organization on the sheet and bringing a viewer easily to relative content. Ctrl-G isn't user friendly enough.

    Thanks!

Good idea, but only effective if the destination cell is visible on the screen. Meaning if you click on cell b10 and the destination is d200, you won't see d200.

Of course with the double click you will see the formula to d200 and can then scroll there. Not elegant, but gets you to your data.
