Hi guys,

I'm new to smartsheet and I'm trying to figure out it can help me become more productive. So far, I have always used excel.

I am working with a lot of minute by minute schedules tailored to the needs of the different departments in my company. I have one large file displaying all the small activities that happen throughout the event day. I create specific columns for the different departments and set "x"s in each line that concerns the particular department. When applying filters I receive specific schedules.

Now, to simplify this process, I was wondering if it is possible in smartsheet to have one masterfile and create a link with another sheet so that every row that has an "x" in a specific column is copied to the other sheet?

Hi,

It sounds to me that it would be easier for your use case to use reports instead.

One report per department maybe? Would that work for you?

Is there also a way that complete rows from other sheets (with timings) are fed into the master sheet?

Yes, manually or automatically with a service like Zapier or similar.
