Conditional Formatting - One rule on multiple columns

  • Is there a way to select multiple columns and apply a single conditional format for multiple columns down the columns?

I will submit a product request but also want to echo this need. I need to have the same conditional formatting for ~15 rows where a cell is highlighted red if 'XL' is present, orange if 'L' is present, etc. Right now, I need to create 3 conditional formats per column x 15. That's....not efficient or sustainable. Conditional formatting should be able to cloned across columns - this seems like a fairly basic feature and something Excel does SO much better.

  • I was curious if there are any updates on this. I have a conditional formatting rule I need to clone across 15 columns, twice (2 different conditions). I don't really want to have 30 rules for one function...

    Hi @jhorvath

I hope you're well and safe!

Unfortunately, it's not possible yet, but it's still an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic week!
