Is this a bug? Why can I not get the parent level row to show day totals, for all of it's child rows?
Hello,
Duration in Smartsheet is the number of working calendar days it takes to complete a task. Parent rows don't total/sum the duration of all child rows, rather, they take the earliest start date and latest end date of all child tasks to roll up the duration.
I think you're expecting more of an effort calculation (number of work units in hours as totaled from all sub tasks), which it appears you may have already created in that Hours column to the right.
More information on parent roll up is available in the help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765753-parent-rollup-functionality
