Trouble importing Excel file

I am trying to import an excel file in to smartsheet and the upload is taking forever/not working. The file is not large (445kb), but has just over 2000 lines. Seems like the only way to get this file into smartsheet is to create a new blank file, then cut and paste <500 rows at a time...

OK, I think I solved my own problem...I removed all the formatting from the xls file, including grouping and it uploaded in a few seconds!

JGL - good to hear you figured it out! Sometimes Excel files can contain meta data, features, or formatting that will increase the size of the file and can prevent it from being imported.
