Sharing Reports: without Sharing Source Sheets

I would like to be able to have people edit data in a report without them being able to view/access the the source sheets. If the source sheet must be shared would it be possible to set the sheet to "hidden" so that the user cannot view/open/edit directly.  Often the source sheet contains a larger set of fields that are not shared in the report. Or perhaps if the user opens the source sheet they are restricted to view and edit only the fields included in the report.

This would be a great feature set and is one that multiple people have requested. I would recommend submitting a product enhancement request to add your vote to the pile.

Hi Malte,

Smartsheet released a Premium Add-on called Dynamic View that addresses the need to some extent, but it is an add-on.
