Reports - Drag & Drop Events in Calendar View

I can drag and drop events on the calendar view when viewing one sheet, but I cannot do the same when viewing a report. Why?

If I have permission to edit, I should be able drag and drop events in the calendar view.

This should be filed as a bug and not a feature request.

The sheet is where the data itself is actually stored. Reports are just a compiling of information and as such are not editable (even as owner or admin). That is why you can edit a sheet and not a report regardless of what view you are in.

But I can edit content in a Report in Grid View. I can edit cells of any sheet that appears in the Report in Grid View, including the date fields. Therefore, I should be able to drag and drop in Calendar View.

You are correct. When I tried to edit I was trying to enter data into a row that had not yet been populate in my report. I tried again (except this time in an already populated row) and now see what you mean.
