Representing Milestones landing in Financial quarters
Hi, I'm new to Smartsheet and hoping that what i'm trying to achieve may be possible but have drawn a blank on the help and community topics so far.
I need to be able to represent that a project milestone is landing in a specific financial quarter and then have this represented on the Gannt chart. Ideally i would have quarters for the next 2 years (8). I Can't gauge what is the optimal way to approach this in Smartsheet?
Thanks for any forthcoming advice.
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
Would it work if it's indicated in the name of the milestone?
I hope this helps you!

Hi Andree, thanks for your response and that's kind of what i ended up doing but unfortunately with that approach you don't get the Gannt chart functionality.

Happy to help!
What I meant was that you could have the information in the name. Like this.
Before: Task Name 1
After: Task Name 1 - Quarter 2
The new name would be visible in the Gantt view.
Would that work?

Andrée

Hi,
I need a template that will allow to track milestones by quarter, be able to create tasks and maybe have a dashboard. I found an example of one on Smartsheet but it only allows me to download as an excel file while I have an account with them. It has a click here to Smartsheet button to create it in Smartsheet but to no avail I cannot pull it. Any assistance would be appreciated. Please see pic.
thank you.

I would try browsing the "Project" section of the Solution Center!
There's a template set called Project Tracking and Rollup that you may find helpful, or another one called Project Schedule Management.
Cheers,
Genevieve
