Embedding Smartsheet on Intranet without publishing

Hi everyone!

I have a growing number of colleagues who use Smartsheet and one recurring question is:

How could we embed a report on an Intranet without making the content virtually accessible to anyone by publishing it?

Note that wihilst we´d like all employees to have access, not all have a Smartsheet account.

I would appreciate any andvice on how others may handle that kind of challenges!

Thanks!

Vincent

    Hi Vincent,

You can publish it, and everyone in your company will be able to see it, they don't need a license.

    Would that work?

    Have a fantastic week!

  • Hi Andrée,

    Thanks for your reply.

Publishing is unfortunately not an option due to the nature of the data - which may include financial information or else. So we were wondering if for instance there's a way to make so that "the intranet" somehow logs into Smartsheet to display content that's only available to our intranet users.

    Best regards,

    Vincent

    Happy to help!

You could publish it so that it's only available to users in your account or don't you want all of the company to be able to see the information? Doesn't everyone in the company have access to the dashboard?

    Would that work?

  • Thanks again!

We´d be happy to share the report with all staff. However not all are linked to account. We are a large confederation of different legal entities, so we are not yet at a stage where we have all users within one account. Currently only a small pool of users have a Smartsheet account, and it actually links to different Business Accounts.

So I am looking for a solution to make the info visible to all staff despite the fact that not all staff have a Smartsheet account, but without publishing the report.

Well, my feeling is that what I´m looking for is not possible given our current set up, and we would need to create free accounts for all our users. But I was hoping there would be some workaround :-)

    Best regards,

    Vincent

Must the information be in real time? How often does it change?

  • Sorry to dig up an old post, but, did anyone ever find a solution to this? I am also in the exact same situation. We have many employees that do not have Smartsheet accounts and due to several factors are unable to get everyone on a free Smartsheet account. So we need the information to be "embeddable" on our internal SharePoint pages but not accessible to the public and not 'only' accessible to user within our Smartsheet account.
