Hierarchy in Reports

Is there any intention of offering a hierarchy in the Report view? This would be especially useful where the report includes parents of the items found for the report.

We did a work around on this. We added columns that are labeled parent, parent child, child etc. We then built this into all of our sheets and web forms. When you run reports it show the Hierarchy in a linear form.

Is there a reason this isn't supported? I don't get it. It makes reports a bit confusing if the master sheet uses hierarchy
