Another strange behaviour - forms!
Hi Smartsheet,
I have no time to search correct helpdesk email address, so I put this here.
I have a form used by 10 employees with field which is set up as % value. Everything was ok, but from few minutes everytime they enter value like 50, it appears in the sheet as 5000%. WHY?
Why that two zeros are added to the value??? Doesn,t matter if the form is entered from mobile or PC.
I am getting more an more dissapointed and being person who implemented the whole Smartsheet from scratch in my company, I am getting worse and worse feedback...
It's so sad...
EDIT: I found some time and went to the helpdesk. This is how it looks:

It is because you have it formatted as a percentage type column. Smartsheet reads percentages as a decimal. 1 = 100%. 0.5 (one half) = 50%. Etc.
-
I could agree with you, but until today it was working as it should, so when I entered 50, form entered 50%. So why it changed just like that?
-
Could the column have been changed at any point? That was the only way I could duplicate your issue. When I set the column as percent, it showed a small % in the field of the form as I was entering it. When I changed the format of the column is when it changed how it was displayed. Are ALL of the numbers entered through the form?

Hi Paul,
Not at all. I am an admin, so if there would be any change, I'd know it ;] and there would not be a point to post anything here. Column is still formatted as %.
I tried to enter value as 0,5 and it landed as you said, as 50%, but anyway day before yesterday it was working absolutely fine.
Regarding % mark in the form, another yes - it's there.

Hello again,
I've made it! I was wondering what will happen if I'd create another duplicated column with the same settings.
So far so good!
It behaves as it should. So we have a situation now like I have two columns set up in an identical way and one gets 50 as 5000% and the other as normal 50%.
Don't know what to say...
EDIT (again): NOPE! I posted few forms and everything was ok. As soon as one of our guys in field posted new form, everything went back to problem... What a nonsense...
Support stays quiet.

Just received an email from support saying that they replcated this issue and they are working on it on higher level of techs.
Just to let you know.

Hmm... Thanks for the update. Hopefully they get it squared away soon for you.

We also see this behavior on sheets occasionally. Generally, if you enter the value again (say 50 or 99), the extra zeroes go away. Since the behavior is random, it's hard to replicate.
Glad to hear this bug is being investigated.
