Send a Form as PDF attached to an email

Hi,

Could we have a form generated as PDF in Smartsheet and sent by email to a specific user (email address)? So this user could fill it and send it again.

I checked we could have the form sent as link by email, but I need to know if it is feasible to transform it to PDF and send it by email.

Any suggestion or solution?

Yes, there are ways to send a PDF automatically with the help of third-party services and it's also possible to use third-party form services.

I did not have screenshots, but I need to build a form with some fields to populate. Then, this form we need to export it as pdf and send it by email.

Could you give me please some examples of third-party services.

If you use Smartsheet Smart Forms, you could save the information as PDF manually afterward.

Would that work?

Edit: It probably wouldn't because you want them to fill in a PDF.

Can you tell me more about your workflow so I can get a better understanding of your needs and so I can give a better recommendation?

1- I have a pdf to fill. I need to fill the information into it then load them into smartsheet.

2- I need to send this pdf by email.

3- I need to fill other information into this pdf and send them back to smartsheet and load them into it.

My pdf it will look the one attached.

I need to fill first the given and family names and send it to a specific person. Then, this person needs to fill the information and send it back to smartsheet so the remaining information will be updated into smartsheet and the pdf will be updated too.

One more question please, if I have a record in smartsheet and I need someone to update the information, how can I send for him a form to update, and when he submit the form, data will be updated into smartsheet directly instead of creating a new record? How can I do this?

The pdf should look like this one:

1- I need to fill the Given and Family Names, and load info into smartsheet.

2- Send this pdf to the user.

3- The user should populate the other information.

4- The user should send back the information and pdf to smartsheet automatically.

5- The information and the pdf should be loaded automatically into smartsheet. (Updating the same row)

Do you have to use a pdf for the process? I would recommend doing it with an update request instead and then save that to a pdf if necessary. If you must use a pdf, it can be set up as well with the help of a third party service like Zapier or similar.
