Data from one sheet form to populate another

I have created a smartsheet that contains a form for my team to fill out. Once this form is filled out I would like that data to go to the main sheet that is viewable by my team and then populate another sheet that is viewable to the managers only. Is there a way to have that data when added to sheet one (main sheet) via the form to then auto populate the required cells in the other sheet. Example below in the photos is when the form is filled out, how can I get the field Builder to populate from main sheet to the other. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Hello,

Its possible with a sheet which is capturing the form submissions (Main sheet) - and a report.

The sheet capturing the form data (Main sheet)  should contain all columns from the report though, however not all column should be feed by the form - you can change them manually after the submission.

The report you are going to create will have the columns of your sheet 2.

    Hi,

    To add to Viktoria's answer.

As a workaround, you could use a third-party service like Zapier or similar to copy information from the main sheet to sheet 2. You could also use the Smartsheet API.

Would any of those options work?

    Have a fantastic weekend!
