Hi.
the reaction time is PAINFULLY SLOW. My sheet is only 120 rows by 35 colums. 21 of the columns have formulas in them. Other than that there is nothing. Not all colums are filled in. Is there a tweek or trick I can apply. If I move too fast it also freezes up. this is going to highly irritate co-workers. Help?
LE
I would say that this is most likly something to do with hardware rather than smartsheet, unless each of your 21 columns of formula have essessivly long and complicated formulea in them. The other thing that can inpack on perforance is conditional formatting.
I would check:
Use cabled insead of wireless if applicable.
Try accessing it from outside your organisation to see if it performs better there. If it does then its an internal hardware issue.
Check Hubs and routers are all up to speck and thet the organisation has sufficient bandwith.

James,
Thank you. Once I disconnected from wireless, it runs much faster now.

Also, try using Chrome if you are not already. It is by far the fastest browser you can use for Smartsheet. Firefox is also fast, Internet Explorer is the slowest.
Thank you, John
Slow for me today too. Have tried moving to Chrome which helped a little.
Chrome Browser was my solution as well - a lot more fluid now.
Smartsheet is VERY SLOW - Especially if you use Formulas - we had a sheet built for us using several Paid For design desk sessions by Smartsheet and when we tried to use it the sheet ground to a halt
We were told that it was a Browser issue - too many formulas for the browser
Rebuilt it in Google Sheets and no issues - works very smoothly so the issue appears to be with Smartsheet
BTW they have refused to refund the design desk sessions used to have the sheet built
Hundreds of $$$ down the drain
It also appears to be slow periodically on different computers with different browsers
- we never experience those issues with other software especially sheet systems like Excel and Google Sheets
- seems like there is some kind of known issue with smartsheet that they dont want to talk about??
