Task bar conditional formatting for calendar view (non defined task lengths)?

Hi guys

I'm trialling out smartsheet as a content calendar, and as such I'm only including one date (publish dates) - so the sheet won't work as a gantt (which is fine)

HOWEVER, I would need to apply conditional formatting to calendar view (to create an automated colour-coordinated content calendar) but it seems I can't do this as each task doesn't have a task bar to conditionally format colour settings??

Scratching my head here - any way to find a work around for calendar view conditional formatting?

Hi,

You can do this with the conditional formatting and you'd use the Task Bar color in the style's window bottom section.

Did you get it working?

If you need more functions for your calendar, I'd suggest looking at the premium add-on called Calendar.

Do you have any experience with the Calendar add on? A few of my coworkers and I tried it out a while back, and for our use cases we couldn't justify the cost. I am sure other people could, otherwise Smartsheet wouldn't be making any money off of it. But would you happen to have a few examples of use cases where it was a benefit to your workflow?

I don't know if maybe I just wasn't fully leveraging all of it's features or if it really wasn't a good fit for how we use Smartsheet.
