We have multiple contributors to a master sheet. They are responsible for the rows that are moved to this master. Is there a way to allow them to continue to edit only the rows they have moved to the master and not be able to edit others rows that have also moved to the master?
Hal,
Smartsheet does not currently have row level permissions.
The Report feature lets the user see only what you want them to see (for convenience) but they still must be able to view the underlying sheet, even if they don't normally do so.

Hi Hal-- We don't currently offer row-level editing permissions, as Craig mentioned, but I've added your vote for this to our enhancement request list. I know some users get around this by flipping your process around--having users contribute to individual sheets and then rolling these sheets up with a Report, rather than a master sheet. Another option might be to use cell linking to link sheets from individual sheets to the Master sheet, rather than moving the rows. Then, users could make changes to the rows on their individual sheets and not require editing permissions on the master sheet. Let me know if you have any questions on implementing this.
