using a form to input new data means my formula no longer works.
hi,
I am using a lookup formula to find prices for specific things. once a form is used and new information is inputted into the top row the formula says unparseable and the [column name]1 changes to [column name]2. I would like to stay as [column name]1 even when new information is put onto the sheet.
Please can someone tell me a way to achieve this?
Thank you

Hi,
That sounds strange. Does the column name change when you submit a form?
There is a way to make sure that the formula continues to works?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

You need to add at least two rows with the same formula pattern above the current first row to make them auto-fill.

What is the actual formula?
-
=VLOOKUP([Boiler make and model]1, {Ecotech Contractors Materials Pricelist Range 1}, 3, false)
but when the form is used and a new row is added to the top of the page the formula tells me the price of the, what is now, the second row and not the new row added to the top
