Hyperlink in Alert/ Automation

Hi,

I would like to add a hyperlink to a Smartsheet report in an alert. The idea is that I want to direct the alert recipients to go to this report to complete a task. Is there anyway to get a hyperlink into the body text of the email alert?

Otherwise I need to put the entire url into the body of the alert, and the recipient would need to cut and paste it into their web browser.

You can add the link to the report in the alerts customized message section.

Although I can't hyperlink simple text, adding the full url at least automatically generates a hyperlink, so that should be sufficient!

I too would love to cleanly add a URL in my auto alert messages. For example:

Instead of writing:

"For course PDF, please go here http://www.superduperlonglinkwithapleathoraofcharaters.com/butwaitthere'smore-thisisthelinkthatneverendsitjustgoesonandonmyfriend"

I'd love to write:

"Please refer to the Course PDF" where "Course PDF" is a link.

My work around has been creating bit.ly links, but I'd love an elegant Smartsheet solution. Using {{Insert Reference}} has been wonderful! Please let us know, thanks!
