HELP: sending automated notifications to multiple contacts in a cell

Hi Folks

Is there a way to send an automated email (via workflow) to multiple comma-separated emails in a cell ?

I have tried, but so far have failed. Nothing seems to happen when I trigger the workflow.

Any help would be appreciated.

You would need to have the column set as a contact type and have the box checked to allow multiple contacts per cell.

Hi Paul - that's exactly my set-up, but still, no joy

It's really driving me nuts and I'll bet it's something super obvious that I am not seeing... but are you at least confirming that it SHOULD work?

If you have the column set up as I specified, they should not be comma separated.

Argh! OK I found the culprit. My automation was flawed, and I just did not see it. All good now, sorry for the bother.

Mmm the problem is the list of emails I need to send to will be submitted via a form... it's not a list of names I will enter directly in the sheet. And some emails will be new when i submit the form and not part of any existing list of contacts.

Unfortunately the only way to get an automation to recognize multiple emails within a cell is to set it up as described above. There currently is not a way to use a formula to join multiple emails or to pull a list and use a delimiter into a multi-contact column.

Still, we are not able to add multiple users in one cell to get them notified? I have "IF" formula in that cell to pick the right names based on the type of the request. So I don't want to pick the names manually.
