Automation - Trigger when a date is reached
Hi everyone!
I have been reading some recently asked questions and haven't been able to find the solution to my question yet.
I would like to set up an automation that 1 week after the current date is reached in a specific date field the rows are moved. I guess what I want to know is that when I click on the today's date to set up the automation will it change the date going forward to continuously be the current date? Or will it always stay as April 24, 2020 as an example? Also it does not allow me to pick a date field to run this trigger off of so where would it be grabbing the date from? I only have one column in my sheet with a date so would it set the trigger up to run off of this column despite me not picking it?
I want the trigger to run once 1 week after the current date based off of a specific column date field (only have one date field in my sheet). Can this be done?

You are correct in both of your assumptions. Past dates would need to be moved manually, and future dates should trigger automatically.

Can you provide a screenshot of the automation? It should allow you to select a date field for the trigger.

Hi Emma,
Yes, it can. Something like this should work.
Did that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Here is the screenshot of the automation. A follow up question, some of the dates in the 'Funding Date' column are from August and September 2019 as we wanted to backdate our info on the spreadsheet. I assumed once the automation was in place it would instantly move all of the rows with an older date but this did not happen. Should I manually move these?
Also if I have dates that are in the future such as May 10, 2020, the automation will move this row once it is 7 days after this date? Correct?
