Hey!
Is there a way to have a conditioning rule in one sheet and then have the format change in another sheet? The two rows are connected either by a cell linking or DataMeshing multiple cells together in the same row.
Thanks!
Alethea
Hello Alethea,
There isn't a way to have one conditional formatting rule change formatting for multiple sheets, but I'll add your vote for this functionality to our enhancement request list for further review by our Product team.
You'll need to manually recreate the conditional formatting rules on your other sheets to get the formatting to change. Check out our Conditional Formatting article for more information creating these rules: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/516359-conditional-formatting
Even a way to copy rules between sheets would be a time saver.

Indeed Craig and that might be just a bit easier to implement? That would suffice for me at least! So put my vote down for that feature!
Currently, you can save as new and bring the conditional formatting rules over in the copy (then delete what you dont' need from the sheet), but I agree that this is more effort over the ability to copy conditional formatting rules and paste them over to existing sheets.
I've got both of your votes down for this on our enhancement request list for further consideration.
Hi, is there any update to this request? Can I add my vote for this much needed enhancement?
Please add my vote for linked cells to conditionally format in both sheets.
Add my vote too. Super time consuming when we figure out how to use this tool better to have to go in and change 20+ sheets.
OR if I could conditionally format a report instead that would work too.
Please add my vote, whether to apply formatting rules across multiple sheets simultaneously, or to save formatting rules as a template that could be applied to new/existing sheets.
