Send a form out daily track responses on separate row...

We have a form we would like to send to employees every morning, then be able to track each response separately. Tried automating the sending out of the form but when employees respond it overwrites the previous response because it was a "request for update". We need to track each response separately.

On the same sheet when we send out the form it is sending a preview of the sheet. We don't want this to happen. What are we doing wrong?

I’d recommend creating a form and then add a link to the form in an Alert and send that out.

Would that work?

We tried that but when we do the email is showing a preview of the sheet and we don't want that.

In the advanced options of the alert you can select which columns to include. You need to at least select one.

We tried creating an alert and that does work however it is showing the sheet and the answers which we do NOT want. Does anyone know how to not show the sheet preview at all? We did limit the columns, but it looks weird to send a blank sheet. Would prefer not to show the sheet at all.

We are new to Smartsheets, but yes we believe we are sending an automation alert.

What we are not understanding is why the alert is sharing a snapshot of the sheet with everyone. Even when we hide the columns it still sends the snapshot. Having difficulty figuring out if it is a permissions related issue or just our lack of understanding of how the Automated Alert works.
