Can I run a report based on Attachments?

Hello, I am trying to run a report that includes data that has an attachment only. Is there a way to do that? Thanks!

Hi @noclue

No, there currently isn't a way to use Attachments as a condition in a report - please submit an Enhancement Request to our Product Team when you have a moment!

If you're willing to do a bit of manual work, you could set up a Checkbox column that when you attach something to the row the person who does this also checks the box. Then you could run the Report based on if this helper column is checked or not.

Alerts can be triggered when an attachment is uploaded or changed, so you could send yourself or someone an alert or Update Request asking to check the box when a new attachment is made. Let me know if you think this would work for you!

As a possible workaround, you could trigger an automated Approval process that changes a cell to Attachment added or similar and uses that as a criterion in the report.

Would that work?
