"Publish User" when using Microsoft Teams
How do we set up our Smart sheet in MS Teams so when comments are made and a user is logged on, the comments will track date/time stamp and the user name?
Currently, if a comment is added thru teams it only shows published user.

Hi Linda,
It sounds like you're using the ability to publish a sheet to a Team channel and have updates done directly through teams (as is outlined in this article) is that correct? If so, there currently isn't a way for the published version of the sheet to recognize the user who is making changes.
You will need to have the users navigate to Smartsheet and log in, looking at the sheet directly as a shared user on the sheet instead of using the published link, in order for their email to be recorded in the System columns.

Hi @Genevieve P ,
I've read the article you've linked to which all makes sense to me.
What I can't get my head around are the benefits to the team by running Smartsheet inside a Teams Channel. Is the functionality limited to opening up access to others to make comments/changes? Normally I would just publish a link and email to those that I needed input from or alternatively share my screen during discussion/conferencing.
Has Smartsheet published an article highlighting the benefits somewhere?
Thanks,
Richard.

If you're happy publishing links and emailing them, or sharing your screen, then that's great! Here's a page on Smartsheet and Teams: https://www.smartsheet.com/marketplace/apps/microsoft-teams
Here's the short video from that page that goes over some of the benefits:
Cheers,
Genevieve
