Auto Approval - Update Requests

Hi All -

I was wondering if anyone had looked into this - it's kinda of a workaround to a problem I know there's not a solution for. I'm trying to get a Status column changed/updated based on a User submitting an Update Request (to alert my internal team). I.E. - it would go from a status of Awaiting Account to Account Submitted, based on them submitting an Update Request.

Anyway, I know I can automatically update the drop down, but does anyone know if there's a way to automatically Approve an Approval Request (with no human intervention)??
