Track Non-human Resources

I have a computer that I would like to track in Resource Management. I read somewhere that I need to officially invite a user (and they need to accept the invite) in order for that resource to appear in Resource Management. However, since this is not a person, there is no Email to invite. I have added a 'dummy' user to my account using a fake email address but since that invite hasn't been accpeted, I am presuming that is why their load isn't appearing in my Resource Management views?

 

I can add that dummy computer resource in the Assigned To column on the sheets. It is just that its utilization isn't appearing in Resource View.

Nevermind... just took a while for the resource view to start picking up the data. All good now. :-)

Hi Ramsay,

I am trying to do exactly what you were asking about. I created dummy emails in order to be able to track machines allocated to certain projects.

I am unable to view these in project resource view. Were you able to find a solution? If so, how did you do so?
