Can you generate document from multiple forms in Document Builder?

Options

Is it possible in Document Builder to generate a document from multiple forms? For example, I have projects A, B, and C. Project A uses Form A. Project B uses Form B. And Project C uses Forms A & B. Is there a way in Document Builder to generate a document using both Forms A & B in a single click, or do I have to do them individually and merge them post production?

    Hi @Jeff Fielder

    You could merge them together in one row and then they can be combined in one document.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks, but that's not quite the result I need. Form A is a standalone form. Form B is a standalone form. I need to be able to pull data from one row that would populate Form A and Form B and combined them into one form. I don't want to make a Form C that is a combination of Forms A & B. In fact, that's what I'm trying to get away from is having 3 forms that do the job of 2 forms. I want to be able to say "Generate Form" using A and B that automatically combines them into a single packet.

    I've just started working on a Document Builder too. Whilst the body of the generated Form will be based on the Source Sheet, there is more generic information that I need to collect from another Sheet. Am I correct in understanding that Document Builder only allows one (1) Source Sheet?

    • Per below, Green items are those that are unique and change with each Variation Order in this instance;
    • Yellow items tend to be fixed and could be fed from another Source Sheet (with that Source Sheet providing data to various other Dashboards/Reports that I use)

    Hi @Richard Heath

    As a possible workaround, you could maybe use cross-sheet formulas to collect the data from the other sheet to use it with Document Builder.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

    Be safe and have a fantastic week!
