Why is the "Assigned To" field not an option to group by within my report?
Hello! I created a report with several columns, however, it does not allow me to group by using the assigned to column (setup as a contact list) . Does anyone know why this is happening?

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I am guessing your contact list is multi-select, I believe you cannot currently group by multi-select dropdown/contact lists.

Dan - Thank you as that seems to be the issue! I created a test report and removing the multi-select allowed me to group by via the assigned to field.

I turned multi select off and now I get a report with "multi select" the name on every group in my report. However, the Assigned to is not multi select and there is only one name in the assigned to.

Hi @Lyz Kelk
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some more screenshots of the grouping/sorting settings? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Did more digging and found that ALL sheets the report is looking through must have multi checkbox off.

I've had similar results as described above when trying to Group using the Assigned To field in a report. However, I also discovered that you can create a sheet with multiple Assign To option turned OFF. Then create a report using that sheet and establish a group on the Assign To field. Then go back to the sheet and turn ON the option for multiple select (in the column properties) and add multiple contacts into the rows as needed. The report will continue to work but will auto adjust to allow for the multiple contacts selection. It will give you the pop-up warning, but the report keeps working.
