Sending Attachments from a Sheet as an Attachment instead of a Link

We have a use case where we need to send attachments from a sheet to individuals outside of our company. The employees at this company are not allowed to click the link within the email to download the attachment. Is there any way to send an attachment from a sheet and have it received as an actual attachment instead of a link? Or does anyone have other workarounds they have come across for sending attachments to individuals outside of your organization when those individuals can't click the link to download the attachment?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Open/download the attachment and send it by email or through the attachment service (depending on filetype)

We are also stuck with our external agents not willing to or the links are blocked to download attachments. Is there a work around?? Appreciate ur help.
