Approval Workflow - Don't Show Previous Comments

I am configuring an approval workflow where the approval request is being sent to a client contact. As part of the approval process I would like to give the client the ability to upload attachments and add a comment if desired. Since there could be existing attachments/comments that I would not want the client to see I do not wish the request to include links to view attachments/comments that already exist. Is there a way to disable this feature?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• You could maybe use an Update Request instead
• Use multiple rows

I am unclear as to how an update request would work as it also displays a link to see existing comments/attachments if they are enabled and the workflow is not as clean as an approval. I would have thought a scenario like mine would be common and taken into consideration when developing the approval process initially.
