Calendar APP Approval Process

Is there a way to go through an approval process before having something posted on the calendar app.

I am going through a report, since i have several sheets (three to be exact) all connected to the report and then posted to one calendar. However, I want to control what goes on the calendar and not have the request posted. I have setup an approval automation, but the post goes straight through to the calendar without waiting for the approval. I must be missing the if statement approval somewhere, but can't quite figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Use a so-called helper sheet and then copy/move the row over when it's approved.

Make sense?
