Why don't automated and exported reports show groups?

I'm trying to send an automated report on a schedule, but the PDF that's sent does not show my grouping. It lumps all rows together regardless of what group they are a part of. Is there a way to set groups to show in PDF versions of reports?

I see a year has passed and this hasn't been worked on. I still have the same issue. Any workarounds?

Bumping this to the top! I have many automated reports but the group and summarized fields which work fine when viewing on screen don't pass through to the automated reports in PDF or Excel format. Im trying to make end users lives easier by summarizing and grouping information.

Please also see if you can allow an option to set decimal places to summarized values.

This would be such a useful thing to have in the export function. I still don't know why it has failed to be added.

Just filled the request form for this - having grouping + counts on PDF exports would be extremely helpful
