Now live! Assignment syncing between Resource Management & Smartsheet
We are excited to share that we launched an improvement to the 10,000ft panel integration to help you better manage your projects and resources. You can now add or edit assignments directly in 10,000ft, and those changes will sync back to the associated sheet rows in Smartsheet. Previously, changes could only be synced from Smartsheet to 10,000ft.
To get started, make sure you have set up the 10,000ft Panel and account level configuration for your organization. Once the panel is set up, enabling this update for existing projects is simple. Open the sheet you want to enable, click on the 10,000ft balloon icon in the right rail and let it load. When it’s finished loading, assignment syncing will be enabled for that specific sheet. For any new project you create, assignment syncing will automatically be enabled.
Assignment syncing now makes these scenarios possible:
- When you reassign a person or placeholder in 10,000ft, the assignee field in Smartsheet gets updated.
- Updating assignment allocations or dates in 10,000ft will update the respective fields in Smartsheet (where allowed).
- When a new assignment is created in 10,000ft, a new row with the assignment details is added to the bottom of the sheet in Smartsheet.
You can learn more about the type of assignment changes you can sync and how to enable this update here. And if you are not familiar with the integration between 10,000ft and Smartsheet, we encourage you to check out this article.

Looking forward to continued improvements! Can't wait for % completes and statuses to sync over in the future!
Not sure if this is part of the branding, but the 2-way sync still has 10,000ft listed as the user for edits:
