Can I filter child rows based on Parent row task name
Is it possible to filter a sheet based on the Parent Row task name? For example, if I have some child tasks that fall under the parent task name "Electrical" and some child tasks that fall under the parent task name "Mechanical" and I want to only see the parent and child rows for "Electrical".
My sheet may have several grandparent projects, all of them with the "Electrical" and "Mechanical" parent task names. I'm hoping to avoid having to adding the "Electrical" or "Mechanical" name to every child row so I can filter the task types.

jmbowles78,
I would solve this by having a parent column.
In the parent column, the formula would look something like this:
=PARENT(Primary23)
This will be blank for the top of the hierarchy.
There's lots of other ways to write the formula too. It depends on exactly what you are looking for.
