Will proper time formatting ever be implemented?

I am creating a form for a log keeping sheet, and want to include a time input, but would love to avoid people having to type it manually. Don't wanna see different entries of '02:00, 2:00p, 02:00PM, 2pm, 14:00, 14:00:00, etc'

I see posts from 2015 with this same issue, and most responses are "smartsheet doesn't have this yet".

Any idea when any sort of time formatting be implemented?

They haven't announced anything yet. In the meantime you can use dropdowns to maintain consistency.
