Is there a way to use automation across grids?
We're using Smartsheet to track project requests. I'm working to build "personas" to show the type of projects coming in based on the requestors job function. Is there a way I could use automation to add data from another sheet so that once we receive a request the automation can reference the requestor's job function and added it to the grid?

You can add/copy rows from one sheet to another with an automation (see: Automatically move or copy rows between sheets)
You could also automatically add a cell value based on an entry in this current sheet (see: Change the Value of a Cell in an Automated Workflow)
However it sounds like using a cross-sheet reference to bring back the Requestor's Job Function into this second sheet based on a unique identifier may be the way to go, here, depending on your sheet set-up. Here's another Community post with an INDEX(MATCH example to bring data back.
I'd be happy to help you create this formula if needed, however it would be useful to see screen captures of both sheets (but please block out sensitive data).
