What triggered this email from Smartsheet that said "Here's a quick update on this attachment"?
Hi there,
Someone on my team received this strange email from Smartsheet that we have never received before. we have been using this sheet for over 18 months now and never received something like this. Any insight on what triggered this? The attachment in question was included in a form and then updated via comments the following day. The email was sent 20 min after it was submitted in the form, so before a second version was ever added. Here is a screenshot of email message.

It looks like one of your collaborators used the "Send File" option in the Attachment panel:
See: Share a Smartsheet Attachment Through Email
This is how the default email is received:
The "Sent From" address should be user@app.smartsheet.com, and the email address at the bottom after "Sent By" should identify the collaborator that sent it. I hope that helps!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Only one way to officially know if it's a legit email is to, leave the email alone, contact SmartSheet's help desk, tell them about the email, and ask if it's a legit email.
