Is there any way to respond to an @mention directly from Microsoft Teams chat?

When receiving a tagged mention notification in Teams, it appears the only option to respond is to open the Smartsheet and reply there. Is it possible to reply back to the chat message and have it flow into the Smartsheet comments (i.e., like it does with the "reply to this email" option in Outlook)?

There currently isn't a way to reply to a tagged message in Teams and have the reply recorded in a comment in Smartsheet. Please let the Product team know that this is a feature you would like to see implemented in the future by filling out this form, here.
