Unable to Insert Column

All,
I am a licensed user on the business plan. My co-worker, also a licensed user on the same account, shared a sheet with me; he is the owner. I am a listed as "Editor - Can Share". I am unable to insert a column. In fact, I can't make a change to the sheet structure at all - can't rename a column, change the data type, etc.
What are we missing.

Ok, we figured it out. Edit can edit cells (add formulas, etc). Admin is required to make a structural change to a sheet (insert column, rename, etc).
