Can we restrict certain columns in Single sheet to avoid editing

Hi,

Hope you are doing Good!

I have a master sheet from there data will be populated to 5 Reports. I need to restrict few columns in One Report(Tracking Team) which will not impact other report(Welcome Team).

If I restrict few columns in Tracking team Report, that will not impact Welcome team Report, they can able to edit that Column.

Will that be possible.

Kindly help me with your answers.

Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Premium App, Dynamic View
• Create a structure with multiple connected sheets and reports

Would any of those options work/help?

In short.

You'd create multiple sheets with cross-sheet formulas referencing the main sheet, and then in the separate sheets, you add columns for the columns that they should be able to add/edit the information, and then you'll have to reference it back to the main sheet.

It's pretty advanced, so if possible, I'd recommend using Dynamic View or WorkApps.
